How to prepare for a diet is a question that from time to time haunts many people. In reality the process is not that difficult.
Going on a diet, for me, means changing your lifestyle for the better. Everyone has a period when they let go and do not care about anything. There is work related stress, stress at home and many other factors. And then you wake up one day and realize you have gotten a bit larger than you want (said in the nice way).
Everyone handles this differently. I wanted to lose weight a bit faster but was not willing to take any pills or go in crash diets as I do not believe in these things. They only mess up your metabolism and you end up with twice your weight. Hello, yo yo effect :-/.
I did a bit of research and found out about the high protein diet. In my country there are several companies that offer a ready made solution, however, it is just too pricey.
After some more digging found a great lady who put all the principles of the protein diet together, divided them into four phases – like those overpriced companies – and substituted their protein meals with vegies and protein shakes. I read it all up and decided to go for it.
Financially, it was great. I bought a pack of protein powder, some flavour drops, some water flavours (this was my only concession as I hate unflavoured tap water) and that was it. The vegies were not a problem sice I buy them daily or weekly anyway. That was my way how to prepare for a diet.
To sum it all up you need the right mindset, the knowledge and the stock aka protein powder and vegetables, at leatst for the first phase, In the later phases, you start adding other ingredients like meat and fish.
If you decide to lose weight then find out all you can, do the basic provisions preparations and go for it. Do not wait. Dive in and enjoy the results!
